The heat islands of Snohomish County
A UW Bothell Master of Arts in policy studies student mapped the “heat islands” of Snohomish County. Temperatures in areas where nearly all the land is developed or paved can be 10 to 15 degrees warmer at night. The Snohomish Health District is using the research.
