The Verdant Health Commission presented its Community Collaboration Award to the University of Washington Bothell’s School of Nursing and Health Studies.
Verdant Superintendent Robin Fenn said Dean David Allen and his team have created a program in which students and faculty actively engage with the community. Hundreds of students have completed field work in partnership with community organizations such as the Everett Gospel Mission, Compass Health and Senior Services of Snohomish County.

Students often bring needed research and analysis to a community project or program, Fenn said at the award presentation during Verdant’s annual conference Monday in Lynnwood.
