The University of Washington Bothell, the Seattle campus of the University of Washington and UW Tacoma are pleased to announce that they have joined the Common App. By doing so, it will now be easier for students in Washington state to apply to University of Washington campuses. The Common App is a college application platform used by more than 1,000 universities, including several institutions in Washington state.
“By using Common App, students increase their chances of accessing the excellent education the University of Washington is known for,” said Dr. Scott James, vice chancellor for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs at UW Bothell. “Additionally, they will have access to year-round, 24/7 technical support from Common App, which will help make applying to college less stressful.
“The Common App’s commitment to the pursuit of access, equity and integrity in the college admissions process very much aligns with UW Bothell’s core value of providing students with the best possible university education in a diverse community. I am thrilled the UW has joined the Common App.”
All three UW campuses expect to offer the Common App for first-year applicants who will be applying for autumn quarter 2023. The application period will open on Sept. 1.
